November 11 Dinner and Auction moves to JC Melrose Country Club

Hate never takes a vacation…neither do we.

On Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center of Philadelphia will hold its 56th annual Auction and Fundraiser at JC Melrose Country Club located at 7600 Tookany Creek Parkway, Cheltenham, PA 19012 (no longer at Philmont Country Club.)

This year, “HAMEC” will be honoring Montgomery County educator Deanne S. Comer for her lifelong commitment to the creation and implementation of quality Holocaust education, incorporating accurate history, and appropriate classroom strategies and as always, celebrating the legacy of the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center.  Deanne was instrumental in implementing Abington School District’s Holocaust ed curriculum, one of the first of its kind in the nation!

.
All are welcome.  Tickets are $95 individual / $175 per couple.

The Holocaust Awareness Museum, located at 10100 Jamison Ave., Suite 210, Philadelphia, PA, is the premier provider of Holocaust education programs in the Greater Philadelphia area and beyond, thanks to their Skype in the classroom programs.  In the last school year alone, “HAMEC” completed nearly 500 programs and reached over 43,000 students.  Newly created laws in various states mandating Holocaust education are likely to increase those numbers this year exponentially.

.

The museum is dedicated to educating students about the consequences of intolerance and hate as most recently demonstrated in Charlottesville, VA.  Each year, museum programs reach thousands of students through Holocaust survivor presentations; in-person school visits or via Skype, videos, and plays from the Anne Frank Theater Project.

.

The Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center is a non-profit organization supported by grants from the Conference on Material Claims Against Germany, government and foundation grants, and also private donations.
